What is Silhouette Instalift?

Silhouette InstaLift™ is a minimally invasive procedure designed to lift the deep fat pads that fall as a consequence of aging as well as stimulate collagen productivity to restore volume to the midface and cheek area. FDA-cleared in April 2015, Silhouette InstaLift delivers long lasting results without surgery and complements other aesthetic treatments.

Who is a good candidate to have a Silhouette InstaLift procedure?

Silhouette InstaLift is designed for those seeking to lift sagging facial skin, jowls, jawline and the neck. It is an in-office procedure that requires only local anesthesia with minimal downtime. It is the ideal minimally-invasive solution for busy men and women interested in refreshing their appearance without the risk of major surgery. It is a new, unique technology that yields natural results.

What are Silhouette InstaLift sutures made of?

Silhouette InstaLift sutures are made from PLAA and glycolide/L-lactide (PLGA), polymer that is well tolerated by the body. The fully resorbable sutures have bidirectional cones that provide both lift and excellent anchoring to the subcutaneous tissue. This gives stability and longevity to the treatment which lasts one to two years or longer.

What can Silhouette InstaLift do to improve my appearance?

Sagging facial skin is one of the major contributors to an aged and tired appearance. Silhouette InstaLift enhances the contours of your face by lifting the deeper layers of your skin for a more youthful look. The dissolving threads with cones reposition the fallen fat pads into their original, more youthful position! The cones also stimulate collagen production, to help fix the fat pads and extend the longevity of the product. Dr. Holy is committed to very natural results and our unique consultation/evaluation process assures these results.

During the in-office procedure, Dr. Holy begins by marking the areas of the face. She will then gently inject a local anesthetic at the sites of entry and exit of the sutures before guiding the delivery needle through and under the skin to deliver the threads at each bi-directional exit point. The sutures have bi-directional absorbable cones that hold them in place. The treatment is well tolerated by patients and typically takes about 45 – 60 minutes.

Is general anesthesia required?

No, only local anesthetic is needed to numb the area before inserting the sutures.

How is Silhouette InstaLift different from Thread Lifts?
Silhouette InstaLift is an entirely new technology and procedure. InstaLift repositions the underlying layers of the skin with patented bidirectional cones. Another very important advance is that InstaLift is fully resorbable and thus not permanent. As the InstaLift sutures and cones are resorbed, they stimulate collagen renewal, which helps increase and restore volume to the mid-face for natural-looking and long-lasting results.
